An aspect of China’s rich cultural inheritance, Chinese paper cutting is laden with deep and abstruse meanings. Often used as an alternative to verbal communication, it displays a propensity for wordless expressions brimming with positivity and optimism.

Paper cutting is unaffected by the constraints of time of space, and creativity thrives within its boundless capacity. We seek to aid students put on their thinking caps and explore the innovation within them through the art of paper cutting.

中国手工剪纸的历史悠久,内容很多,寓意也很广。人们以剪纸作为托物寄语,表现了人们对美好生活的向往与吉祥幸福的期盼。剪纸可作为装饰与美化家居环境的饰物。

剪纸不受时间、空间、比例关系的束缚,其内容没有局限,创造性强。大家可通过临剪、重剪、画剪、把自己熟悉的景物,信手剪出,一起成为美的创造者!
